The family of Alastair Iain Macnab, chieftain of the Cadet House of Barachastlain, reports his death in May of 2024. The Clan Macnab Society offer their condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren.
12 January 1937 – 25 May 2024 (87 glorious years)
Alastair was born in the small village of Wickersley, South Yorkshire to Father Hector and Mother Mary. He became Chief when his father Hector passed away. Alastair passed away peacefully following a short illness.
A man who was very proud of his Scottish heritage, he was piped to the final celebration of his life to 'Flower of Scotland' and the Macnab tartan fittingly draped his coffin.
He is sadly missed by wife Christine and his two children Duncan and Alexandra.
